Plastering a Wall in Paraguay Construction Diary #4

Welcome to a new diary documenting the progress of our construction site in Paraguay. In this edition, we delve into the intricate process of plastering the recently erected wall. The journey unfolds with a meticulous approach to craftsmanship and a keen eye on the unique challenges posed by the topography.

Building on an Inclined Terrain

Our construction site presents a unique challenge with its sloping terrain. To counter this, the wall was built in stages, each carefully planned to ensure stability. Standing at 60 feet tall, the finished wall boasts reinforced pillars, providing both strength and aesthetic appeal.

Teamwork and Process – Paraguay Construction Diary

A team of three masons, accompanied by a diligent helper, worked in unison to bring the wall to life. From carrying bricks to mixing cement, each step in the construction process was a testament to teamwork and precision. The behind-the-scenes look reveals the dedication required to create a structurally sound wall.

Preservation of Nature

A significant aspect of our project involved safeguarding the roots of a neighboring tree. Without causing harm, the roots were carefully navigated around, emphasizing our commitment to preserving the environment. The workers applied the moisture-resistant coating, known as Negrolin, to prevent upward moisture penetration.

Mastering the Art of Plastering

The plastering process is an art in itself, evolving through distinct stages. From the initial coarse plaster to a more refined application, the wall gradually transformed. The meticulous attention to detail culminated in a smooth, fine finish that not only enhances durability but also provides an aesthetic touch.

In conclusion, our journey in Paraguay continues to unfold, blending nature, construction, and artistic endeavors. Stay tuned for the next installment of our construction chronicles. Until then, stay healthy, and we’ll see you in the next update from the Zen Garden Paraguayan team.
